Cindy's gallery is located 2 1/2 blocks West of the Gold Line - Chinatown Metro Stop - if you haven't taken the subway in LA - you gotta try it, it's so great!
If you're driving, park anywhere or she recommends the 1st lot on your right at the bottom of the 110 freeway (N or S) Hill Street/Chinatown exit ramp. Walk one block south on the same side of the street.

Sunday August 10th.

Registry and Gifts / Buy a Brick

To our amazing friends and families,

We have decided to forgo the formality of a traditional wedding gift registry.

No gifts are necessary at all but if you want to help us "buy a brick" toward our own home - we'd love you forever, which we already do!

We are so blessed with great friends and family and really have all we need but we would love to have our own home so we can get a dog for Jonah to play with.

You can make a donation through Paypal via the "donate" button (bottom right).

Or our pal Maggie Mackay has offered to accept checks for us:
Shaz & Jean-Pierre house fund c/o Maggie Mackay 1745 Silverlake Blvd. LA, CA 90026

Or to us directly: Shaz & Jean-Pierre 903 1/2 Parkman Ave. LA, CA 90026

We love you.
Shaz & Jean-Pierre

We love kids!

Because a couple of people have asked, kids are welcome at the wedding.
We love kids, especially our friend's kids and our nieces and nephews who almost aren't kids anymore!
But, yes, we love your kids and if ya wanna bring em, it's up to you.

The Wedding Party

This is in reference to the "wedding party" meaning people, not wedding party meaning party! This is a non-traditional wedding as you can imagine given the people getting married but anyone who knows Shaz knows how seriously she takes rituals!

We have invited only our close friends and family to be with us and hope you can come. Since we're not really doing a wedding line per se - it's more of a wedding circle - in that circle along with all our awesome friends and family...

Shaz's one and only sister Heather Bennett is her maid of honor, technically she is married but no one wants to be called a matron. Shaz's bridesmaids (another very strange word) are: The awesome Pam Martin, the amazing Susan Morris, the lovely Maggie Mackay, and Shaz's two oldest (as in years known, not years on earth) friends, the fantastic Eden O'Brien Bennett and the excellent Robin Wilks-Dunn.

Jean-Pierre's good friend Brian "Big Bry" Robinson is his best man, if only out of tradition! Jean-Pierre's groomsmen are: the wonderful Brady "Bird" Crawford, the extraordinary Andrew "boozy" Kuykendall and the ever-talented Matt "Sha-Lo" Shafae.

Our wedding officiant is the oh so very reverent Oliver "Ollie" Stahl who is one of Jean-Pierre's oldest friends and one of Shaz's newest and dearest! Speaking at the wedding ceremony will be Shaz & Jean-Pierre's good friends Derek Call and Susan Morris and Shaz's brother Brandon "Braz" Bennett.

Our flower girls, because why have just one! are our neices - Hannah Hanson, Emma Hanson, Grace Bennett, Emily Bennett, Jill Bennett and Karen Bennett.

Hotels, Lodging, Travel

As you all know, Los Angeles is real spread out! I hope this is helpful and not too much information. Please feel free to call me or Jean-Pierre with any specific questions about locations or plans.

Airports would be either Los Angeles (LAX) or Burbank (BUR).

Everything in LA takes about 30-40 min to drive anywhere on a good day!

Jean-Pierre and I live on the Eastside of LA and we’re getting married on the Westside of LA.

Areas of the city close to the wedding hall: Westwood/Brentwood/Santa Monica/Cheviot Hills/Japantown. We live in Silverlake which is closer to Hollywood/Downtown/Los Feliz.

In trying to cover some hotel housing ideas we wanted to give you a general idea of the city – ideally we want you to stay wherever you are most comfortable but here are a few suggestions!

We love our neighborhood but there aren’t a lot of hotels. There is only a Holiday Inn select that’s really close to our house but not the nicest view, but still nice.

Holiday Inn Express
www.hiexpress.com

This hotel holiday inn express in silverlake is the closest hotel to jean-pierre and i - it's clean and nice and safe but not the nicest location only cuz it's by the freeway but in some ways that's super convenient and very close to us.

Then there's this place where my pal told me her parents stayed - it's pretty close to us - closer than some others and nice and safe and clean - close to a grocery, starbucks, metro and freeways.
